With over 30 years’ success, we continue to grow, and we would like to welcome a new Project Coordinator to our team in our Richmond Branch office to support new initiatives that are coming our way.

Project Coordinators are right in the middle of all the action, helping bring our organization’s vision of “Together Building Better” to life as they work with virtually all stakeholders on a project.  Working in conjunction with the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator interacts with Site Superintendents, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and our Clients throughout the project’s lifetime.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, and an acute ability to recognize risks and opportunities inherent to a project, further analyzing them, determining associated costs and other impacts, such as scheduling considerations, and creating plans to accommodate to keep the project on track.  Some common responsibilities in the role include:

Assisting Project Managers & Superintendents to ensure that deliveries of critical elements are expedited and coordinated

Processing subcontracts and purchase orders, as well as Prime and Subcontract progress claims

Preparing site binders and related site documentation, including administering the Shop Drawing process

Assisting in developing and implementing project Health, Safety, & Environment and Quality plans

Performing routine site visits and attending site meetings as requested by Project Manager, documenting and distributing associated meeting minutes

Processing Contemplated Change Notices and distributing appropriately for pricing

If you have some construction experience and can plan and organize construction activities independently, want to contribute to a growing business, enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and have the qualifications listed below, we want to hear from you!

Completion of Construction Management Diploma at BCIT or similar education

3-5 years’ experience working with a General Contractor

Institutional project involvement in the $3 – $5 million range

Some experience leading projects directly on your own

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to establish positive working relationships with a variety of people

Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Sage – Timberline an asset
