Job Description:

  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas, respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • Solicit guest feedback to understand the needs and wants of customers
  • Knows how to do and actually do Food Service Counter Attendants and Food Service Supervisor’s duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure safe use of equipment by any staff and provide safety procedures
  • Estimate and order weekly ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Maintain records for sales, stocks, wastage, scheduling and repairs
  • Prepare and submit required reports
  • Cash management, coin orders, daily cash out and organized money handling
  • Inventory management
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured
  • Handles the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems
  • Assist in conducting staff’s daily pre-shift meetings
  • Assist in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require
  • Identify employee weaknesses and retrain as necessary in job duties and sanitation, teach and share work knowledge to staffs to make them better staffs if not Supervisors or Assistant Restaurant Managers, provide coaching and assess staff performance on an ongoing basis
  • Provide directions to Food Service Supervisors, shift leaders and staffs to achieve restaurant goals
  • Keep Restaurant Manager fully informed of all issues and provide feedback on opportunities for improvement
  • Help Restaurant Manager to manage the restaurant and meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety and cleanliness
  • Assist Restaurant Managers in implementing tasks and relaying instructions to employees
  • Effectively manage the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
  • Other duties as required and requested by Restaurant Manager
