Administrative and Operations Assistant Position

Starting Salary: $26,000 – $28,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

i. Receiving and shipping orders

·                     Communicating effectively with customers as well as collaborating with team members to ensure smooth delivery of orders

·                     Coordinate and organize the timely flow of customer orders out of the facility

·                     Coordinate deliveries with customers to ensure their processing times are met

·                     Track, measure and report regularly the status of customer orders

·                     Coordinate product returns

·                     Keep track of inventory and back-orders

ii. Administrative duties

  • Answering the phone and directing calls accordingly
  • Assist with placing purchase orders
  • Assist with invoicing
  • Other duties as assigned

iii. Label printing

  • Print all labels required for production
  • Keeping label media organized and stocked
  • Keeping label printer consumable organized and stocked
  • Maintain label printer at peak efficiency


Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in Transportation/Logistics Industry in a similar role is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel; strong keyboarding skills and an ability to learn and master new software programs
  • Customer Service experience
  • Technologically inclined
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment 
  • Organized
  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Can work in a team environment
  • French language skills would be an asset
