Are you someone who demonstrates continuous improvement, collaboration and purpose in their work? Our client located downtown Calgary is looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator. This is a temporary assignment for approximately three months with the potential of extension. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Reconcile all cash deposits for the month including working with internal employees to resolve balancing issues
  • Enter all deposits into the accounting system, including determining coding as required 
  • Reconciling actual bank deposits to the system entries 
  • Entering and verifying coding of invoices; distributing via mail/email/fax as required
  • Maintain and reconcile outstanding account receivables and working with other departments to ensure payment 
  • Respond to management and employee requests for information 
  • Complete monthly and year end account reconcilliations
  • Provide back-up coverage and support to Payroll Advisor 
  • General Office duties such as filling and daily routine tasks
  • Bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 300 employees 
  • Provide new employee orientation for the payroll system 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum college diploma in accounting
  •  Minimum of three years of accounting and payroll experience 
  • Excellent time management skills are required as this position has several non-negotiable deadlines
  • Great team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills 
  • Nonprofit experience would be considered as asset 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
