Nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountain Foothills, our client is looking for an Accounting Administrator on a full time permanent basis. As an Accounting Administrator, you will be responsible for processing, organizing and managing various aspects of accounting function of the company. You will ensure accuracy of information and adherence to policies with respect to Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management and other functions. You will be an integral part of our administration team that services membership of over 1300. Job Responsibilities

  • Review and code invoices, vouchers, expense reports and ensure proper entry into software
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and supporting documentation
  • Create, update, edit and maintain all AP vendor files
  • Generate biweekly and monthly cheque runs and produce ad hoc cheques as required
  • Review and ensure accuracy of payroll tracking mechanisms and input weekly into software
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried and contract employees
  • Enter personnel changes with respect to wages and compile payroll reports as necessary
  • Develop, document and implement efficient processes across all areas of involvement
  • Respond to all vendor, member and personnel inquiries with regards to AR, AP and Payroll
  • Reconcile daily cash outs from several outlets and manage distribution of gratuities
  • Prepare deposits from payments received and enter into software
  • Greet Members, receive payments, answer questions, faxing, filing and photocopying

Candidate Qualification

  • 2 years of Payroll and AP/AR experience or at least 3 years of general office experience
  • Experience with Jonas Club Management Software
  • Accounting diploma/degree considered an asset
  • Preferred candidate has formal accounting training or is working towards professional designation
  • Minimum of a college diploma in business administration or degree in other field of study with work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and still produce accurate, efficient results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Generate biweekly and monthly cheque runs and produce ad hoc cheques as required
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel reliably to and from the club 12 months of the year
  • Knowledge of the game of golf and/or private club operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Pleasant and professional phone manner
  • Strong time management skills
